The Jewish Guild for the Blind, based in New York City, exhibited at the 17th annual HPS Network Family Conference in Uniondale, N.Y. The Guild offers a wide variety of services for those with vision impairments including: medical, vision, low vision, psychiatric and rehabilitative services, managed long-term care, residential services, day health programs, schools and educational training programs for independent living. In addition, SightCare, The Guild's vision care education and training program, addresses the special needs of thousands of people nationwide.
The Guild also sent several of its bilingual social workers to the conference to learn more about the needs of the HPS community. The HPS Network and the Guild are exploring ways they can work together in the future. You can find the Guild’s Website at: http://www.jgb.org.
