One of our NIH superstars

This is Carmelo. He works in Dr. Gahl's lab studying the biochemical and genetic workings behind Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome. He's also just one of the gang when he comes to see us at our conferences. He's from Puerto Rico, and says that being able to work on HPS, a disorder so common among Puerto Ricans, means a lot to him. He means a lot to us!
