Living on the frontlines

I "stole" this picture from Frankie's Facebook page. This is Carmen, one of the members of the HPS Board of Directors, and her husband Frankie. He's the photographer - or one of our photographers. I call him Frankie the Cat to tease him. When we were working on some translations I listed him on the credits area, but I didn't know how to spell his last name. So, I just put Frankie figuring he'd just fill it in. He told Carmen, "What am I, Frankie the cat?" - and so now he is - ha ha ha...or the Frankinator as he does amazing things for us. Carmen and Frankie spend a lot of hours volunteering for the Network.

I've been going through my e-mail and just found this story. I know it will be of interest to those of you following this case. Some trials are scheduled to begin soon for those accussed of killing people with albinism in Tanzania. Hopefully these trials will send a message. This is a head shot Frankie, Carmen's husband - a.k.a. Frankie the cat - took of me at conference. Frankie's taken up photography as a hobby, and I've got to say, he's got a good eye. He even took a portrait class to learn to take pics of people with light skin. These came out very nicely. I actually "stole" this pic from Frankie's Facebook page. I hope he doesn't mind. My folks will probably want a copy.
