Calling all those in the New York City area! The HPS Network will once again be marching in the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City on June 8th. We need hearty marchers to join us. You don’t have to have HPS to participate. Recruit your friends, family or co-workers. Last year we even recruited a few strangers off the street. But, it really does help us to know who is going to be there. So, if you’d like to join us, please e-mail me at hkdawn@yahoo.com and I’ll put you in touch with the HPS parade organizers.
Liz Diaz, who is heading up this venture, advises from last year’s experience that walkers should be prepared to be outside for a long time in the sun. Don’t forget the hats and sunscreen and maybe a bottle of water.
