This morning I logged onto the blog and had to laugh. In case everyone hasn’t noticed from The Kevin Report, I eat a lot of chicken. Why? Well for some reason, red meat is harder for me to digest. And in the Midwest, fish is expensive and a treat. I do sometimes eat pork too. Anyway, this morning I noticed that Google had noticed my eating habits – there was an ad for chicken! HA!
Other quirky events – last Friday my company sent out a policy on blogging. It included guidelines for both work-related blogs as well as our personal blogs. We were tactfully reminded that we can held responsible for libel should we choose to negatively blog about our employer. And we were reminded that sharing proprietary information was an offense that would have you looking for another job.
If big brother is watching, not to worry. I know who signs my paychecks! (And, by the way, I took media law too and libel isn’t just writing stuff people don’t want to hear.)
This did, of course, spark my interest. Who’s been blogging about the company? Who’s in trouble? A Technorati search didn’t reveal any offenders, so no juicy gossip there! Hey, I tried to do my bit to find the accused.

ah-HA! so who's "big brother" now?!
chicken. grew up eating lots o' chicken. dad developed some health issues when i was a teen; high blood pressure, cholesterol count, triglycerides, etc., so we cut read meat out of our diet altogether. spaghetti and hamburger helper were made with ground turkey, and mom learned a million ways to cook up a chicken! even after i'd moved out, i tended to go for the chicken meal over the beef meal. in fact, it wasn't until i started making better money (in my early thirties) that read meat found it's way back into my diet. of course, i'm over-doing it now. gonna have to wean myself again....
