I’m very happy to report that I don’t have any major complaints – just the same old stuff – but as I hadn’t posted an update in quite a while, it seemed like it might be time.
It’s allergy season. Anyone who knows me knows that this time of year is my own little personal taste of hell right here on Earth. I take a mountain of allergy medicines this time of year. If I don’t, I constantly cough. My asthma gets very kicked up and I start breaking out in hives.
Needless to say my struggles to keep to a normal sleep pattern are not helped by having to take Benadryl on top of all the stuff I take year round. Just call me a zombie.
The good news is I don’t feel as though there’s been any major change in my breathing, except when I need my allergy medication.
I still have my ordinary stuff. My joint pains are much improved, but still show up now and then. Twice this past week I woke up in the middle of the night with muscle pain much like a Charlie horse. That really hurt and is not typical for me, but after a few hours the pain did go away. I think I’m probably lacking in potassium and so will try to step up my game there a bit.
I had been having big time struggles with fatigue. Now I’m just having trouble staying on a normal clock. I don’t feel fatigued at 3:00 am in the morning oddly enough…..sometimes pulling an all nighter helps to get back on track. This week I did try it but feel asleep about 7:00 am and didn’t wake up until dinner time. I’m trying it again tonight, but plan to go eat breakfast somewhere as soon as dawn breaks so that I can make myself stay awake.
Soon I should be returning to the NIH for the follow up for the drug trial. I’ve also volunteered for the lung lavage, however, I don’t have dates yet. It seems to be taking them a while to schedule people.
